Once the results of diagnostic testing have been obtained and the ALL has been classified under one of the aforementioned groups, your doctor will decide which treatment is most suitable for you. There are various types of treatment available, though the particular decision will depend on prognostic factors seen in the patient.

Current therapy regimens for ALL in adults are adaptations of those used in children, in whom an 80-85% cure rate is seen.

ALL treatment is divided into the following phases: induction, consolidation-intensification, CNS prophylaxis, and maintenance.
